Solana Mobile announced Ledger as its first external hardware partner, integrating its Seeker application and dApp Store into Ledger’s Atom device. The partnership, unveiled at Ledger’s event in Paris in October 2024, marks Solana Mobile’s first collaboration to bring its software ecosystem beyond its own branded phones.
Ledger Atom is a security-focused device designed for managing digital assets and interacting with Web3 applications. Unlike conventional cellular smartphones, the Atom device will allow users to access supported applications while approving transactions through protected signing functionality. Ledger has not yet released the device; the announcement reflects the partnership roadmap and planned integration rather than current availability.
Solana Mobile previously operated its own hardware line, including the Saga and Seeker phones. The Ledger partnership shifts that model by embedding Solana Mobile’s software into third-party hardware. Users of the Atom device will gain access to Solana’s dApp Store and Seeker application without Solana Mobile needing to manufacture the device itself.
The integration allows Ledger to expand its Web3 application ecosystem while giving Solana Mobile a path to reach hardware users beyond its own product line. Ledger Atom’s exact launch date has not been disclosed. The partnership does not specify whether additional hardware manufacturers will integrate Solana Mobile’s software in the future.
