XRP exchange-traded funds added $11.31 million during the week ended October 9, extending an inflow streak to 13 consecutive weeks even as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana ETFs recorded combined net outflows of $1.248 billion, according to data from SoSoValue.
The divergence underscores sharply different investor sentiment across major crypto assets. Bitcoin ETFs recorded their first negative week since the week ended September 11, shedding $681.1 million in net withdrawals after three consecutive weeks of inflows. The prior week saw $241.09 million in Bitcoin ETF inflows, marking a $922.19 million swing in investor demand week-over-week.
Bitcoin withdrawals concentrated on Wednesday and Thursday. On Wednesday, $487.07 million flowed out. Thursday saw an additional $244.13 million withdrawal. Friday provided modest relief with $21.13 million in inflows. Bitcoin ETF net assets fell to $105.84 billion from $108.89 billion, a decline reflecting both redemptions and changes in Bitcoin’s market price, according to CryptoQuant.
Ethereum faced steeper pressure. ETFs tracking the asset recorded $542.07 million in outflows, nearly four times the prior week’s $138.02 million and the largest weekly outflow since January. Withdrawals occurred across all five trading sessions. Tuesday saw $201.89 million exit, followed by $160.77 million on Wednesday. Ethereum ETF net assets fell to $15.71 billion from $17.46 billion, a larger decline than withdrawals alone, reflecting ETH price changes alongside investor redemptions.
Solana ETFs broke a 14-week positive streak with $24.81 million in net losses. The reversal marked the first negative week since June. Monday saw $9.25 million in withdrawals, with $4.80 million more exiting on Wednesday. Solana ETF net assets stood at $1.73 billion.
XRP ETF inflows, while modest in absolute terms, offset just 1% of the combined withdrawals from the three larger assets. Tuesday brought $3.14 million in inflows, followed by $8.17 million on Thursday. XRP ETF net assets fell to $1.57 billion from $1.66 billion, despite the positive weekly flow, reflecting price pressure on the underlying asset.
According to Ecoinometrics, Bitcoin ETF inflows have ranged between 30,000 to 40,000 BTC on a rolling 30-day basis, indicating sustained institutional interest despite the week’s outflows. Ethereum’s cumulative net inflows stood at $13.26 billion, down from $13.80 billion the prior week, while XRP’s cumulative inflows reached $1.80 billion.
