US cryptocurrency exchange-traded products recorded $1.297 billion in inflows across Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana over three trading sessions from August 17 to 19, with Bitcoin capturing the vast majority of capital flows.
Bitcoin ETPs pulled in $1.004 billion during the period, or 77.4% of total inflows. The three-day surge marked a sharp acceleration compared to Bitcoin’s historical daily average of $81.0 million. Daily inflows peaked on August 19 at $517.2 million, followed by $297.5 million on August 17 and $189.3 million on August 18.
BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) led the rebound, capturing $588.5 million in inflows across the three sessions. Fidelity’s FBTC Bitcoin fund drew $198.2 million, while ARK 21Shares’ ARKB attracted $111.6 million. These three products accounted for the bulk of Bitcoin ETP activity tracked by Farside Investors, the investment data provider.
Ethereum and Solana Trail Bitcoin
Ethereum ETPs gathered $289.1 million in inflows, roughly 22.3% of the three-day total. BlackRock’s iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA) led Ethereum flows with $212.7 million. Ethereum’s daily average inflows of $96.4 million still exceeded its historical daily average of $22.6 million, signaling meaningful institutional participation in the asset class.
Solana ETPs recorded just $4.1 million in inflows, the smallest share of the three assets. The daily average of $1.4 million remained below Solana’s historical daily average of $5.6 million. Bitwise’s Solana Staking ETF added $7.2 million in inflows on August 18 and 19, while Grayscale’s Solana Trust posted a $3.1 million outflow on August 19.
Morgan Stanley Products Not Yet Tracked
Morgan Stanley launched Ethereum Trust and Solana Trust on July 28, but these products do not currently appear in Farside Investors’ flow tables. Farside’s data tracking covers different numbers of products and may not capture the entire US crypto ETP universe, creating measurement limits for comparing category performance.
The inflow period reflects concentrated demand in established Bitcoin and Ethereum products, with BlackRock commanding the largest share of Bitcoin capital. Whether the three-session surge represents a sustained shift or a temporary spike remains unclear from available data.
