Interstice Digital has launched a non-custodial cross-chain swap engine connecting the Canton Network to Ethereum, Solana, and Robinhood Chain, according to an announcement on August 18, 2026. FalconX, a digital asset prime brokerage, provides liquidity for the engine.
The swap engine operates without Interstice taking custody of assets or executing transactions on users’ behalf. Assets can be swapped across the four networks through the non-custodial infrastructure, which FalconX supports with liquidity provision.
Canton’s Institutional Settlement Track Record
Canton is a public blockchain built for institutional finance, featuring privacy and permissioning controls designed for regulated transactions and tokenized assets. The network has already processed significant institutional activity. In July 2026, Tradeweb executed an onchain US Treasury trade where Franklin Templeton transferred a tokenized Treasury security to Virtu Financial in exchange for tokenized cash, settled in real time using USDCx stablecoin on Canton.
Societe Generale has deployed euro- and dollar-denominated stablecoins on Canton for tokenized collateral, repo financing, and institutional settlement. Visa tested private stablecoin settlement on Canton. Mizuho and Nomura participated in a Japanese government bond collateral pilot on Canton. S&P Dow Jones Indices placed its iBoxx US Treasuries Index on Canton.
Interstice Backing and Ecosystem
Interstice Digital is backed by a16z Crypto, Coinbase Ventures, Galaxy, and Brevan Howard. The company is a subsidiary of Everyrealm. JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, and BNP Paribas are participants in the Canton ecosystem. Digital Asset and Blockdaemon also participate in the network.
The launch addresses a core challenge in institutional tokenized finance: enabling assets issued on one blockchain to be traded and settled on another without requiring custodial intermediaries. By connecting Canton to three major public blockchains, the swap engine expands the routes through which institutional participants can move tokenized assets.
