Bitcoin climbed toward $78,000 on Friday as altcoins rallied across the market, with Hyperliquid, Zcash, and Solana posting the strongest gains.

HYPE rose more than 11% to nearly $89, while Zcash added 8% to roughly $1,472 and Solana climbed 6% to just above $106. BNB and DOGE each gained about 4%, with XRP, ether, and bitcoin up 2%. The broader crypto market value rose 2% to roughly $2.66 trillion.

Bitcoin marked a third consecutive day of gains, trading just below $78,000 after touching $75,972 during U.S. hours. The move came as equities rose and appetite for risk broadened across markets.

Among the 40 most liquid coins tracked, none fell. The altcoin season index showed NEAR up 30%, UNI at 26%, and APT at 18%.

Alex Kuptsikevich, chief market analyst at FxPro, said traders were “cautiously shifting their focus towards altcoins.” The rally followed the Federal Reserve’s announcement of a quarter-point hike the prior day, which did not trigger the expected reaction in traditional markets.

Bitcoin faces an upper edge of its trading range near $82,000.
