Gemini and Apex Fintech Solutions have signed a non-binding letter of intent to make Gemini Titan the exclusive regulated venue for crypto event contracts distributed through Apex’s network of financial clearing members (FCM), according to reporting from CoinTelegraph on August 24, 2026.
The arrangement builds on an existing infrastructure relationship. Apex Clearing already provides custody and clearing for Gemini’s zero-commission US equities offering, which launched in July 2026. Apex provides infrastructure to hundreds of financial firms serving tens of millions of investors.
Gemini has been building out its regulated prediction-market business since receiving approval from the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission to operate a designated contract market in December 2025. The exchange received additional CFTC approval to clear derivatives in-house in April 2026.
The partnership proposal comes as prediction markets face mounting legal challenges at the state level in the US. A Washington state judge ordered Kalshi, a prediction market platform, to stop offering a broad range of event contracts in the state, rejecting the argument that federal commodities law preempts state gambling law.
The letter of intent is non-binding, and Financial terms were not disclosed.
