Robinhood Chain’s real-world asset value surged to $70 million in less than two weeks, marking a fivefold increase as tokenized equities began trading in substantially larger size.

The blockchain network, built to tokenize equities and bring them onchain, has shifted from memecoin-dominated activity toward meaningful real-world asset trading. Tokenized GameStop shares cleared $26.6 million in daily volume, while tokenized Nvidia and SpaceX shares each recorded $14 million and $6.4 million respectively. A dozen tokenized stocks have each crossed the $500,000 daily volume threshold, with five breaking $1 million daily volume.

Total value locked on Robinhood Chain reached roughly $312 million, roughly tripled since mid-July. The chain processed 138 million transactions in 30 days, with decentralized exchanges handling $600 million in daily volume. Tokenized stocks accounted for $55 million of that daily DEX volume, representing under a tenth of the chain’s total trading activity.

From Speculation to Real Assets

When Robinhood Chain first launched, speculative memecoin trading dominated activity. CASHCAT, a memecoin built around Robinhood’s abandoned original name, was the chain’s busiest market in its earliest days. The token spiked 1,700% after CEO Vlad Tenev followed its account, then declined 75% from peak.

Memecoins still dominate the chain’s most-traded tokens on DEX Screener, with tokens like “Hoodrat,” “Vladhood,” and “Swole Doge” ranking above tokenized equities in volume rankings. Stablecoins remain the single largest presence on the chain with combined market value in the hundreds of millions of dollars.

Tokenized stocks trade on Uniswap but rank lower on volume rankings than memecoins. Three weeks prior, the critique was that Robinhood had built expensive infrastructure attracting only speculation with little sign the tokenized-stock business would materialize.

Real-World Assets Gain Traction

The recent surge in tokenized equity volume suggests the original use case for the chain is beginning to take hold. GameStop, Nvidia, and SpaceX represent the highest-volume tokenized stocks, though Robinhood has not disclosed the complete list of tokenized assets trading above $500,000 daily volume.

Data for the analysis comes from DefiLlama, Token Terminal, and DEX Screener. The shift from memecoin dominance to meaningful tokenized equity trading represents a test of whether blockchain infrastructure designed for real-world assets can sustain trading volumes beyond speculative activity.
