Crypto and prediction market executives are set to gather at the White House next week, according to reporting from POLITICO released Thursday. The meeting is scheduled to take place one day before the Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s Innovation Advisory Committee convenes.

The timing places the White House session directly ahead of a major regulatory discussion, as the Trump administration continues shaping its approach to digital assets and prediction markets. President Trump campaigned on making America the crypto capital of the world and has received backing from major crypto players since taking office.

The White House meeting arrives as Congress works to advance crypto legislation. Lawmakers began reviewing a new draft of the Clarity Act in July 2026. The revised legislation addresses ethics concerns, banning government officials from promoting or making money from crypto. A previous version of the Clarity Act passed the House of Representatives last year.

Pro-crypto lawmakers had hoped to pass the updated Clarity Act before the August congressional recess, but the measure was delayed last week. A vote on the Crypto Clarity Act is now scheduled for September 2026.

Since taking office, Trump has signed pro-crypto measures, and federal regulators have scrapped high-profile lawsuits against crypto companies. In March 2025, Trump signed an executive order directing the creation of a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve.

POLITICO did not name the specific crypto industry executives or companies expected to attend the White House gathering.
