Streamex and Orca announced a Solana-based marketplace on May 27, 2026, where verified accredited investors can trade Streamex’s gold-backed GLDY token through permissioned liquidity pools with onchain identity and compliance checks.
The trading infrastructure allows accredited investors to buy and sell GLDY around the clock. Neither Streamex nor Orca will act as brokers or intermediaries. Instead, trades execute through permissioned liquidity pools where investor wallets remain frozen until identity verification and accreditation checks complete. Investor eligibility data updates onchain in real time.
The system ties compliance to Streamex’s KYC and accreditation process, restricting trading access to verified participants. The GLDY trading pool could serve as a model for other tokenized assets tied to stocks, bonds, real estate and commodities, according to the announcement.
Broader Tokenized Securities Push
The Streamex-Orca marketplace arrives as traditional finance institutions and blockchain platforms accelerate tokenized securities infrastructure. The SEC approved Nasdaq’s pilot proposal earlier in May 2026. Under the pilot, tokenized securities would share the same order books, ticker symbols and shareholder rights as conventional shares. Participation is initially limited to eligible participants and securities tied to the Russell 1000 index and some of the largest exchange-traded funds.
The New York Stock Exchange signed an agreement with Securitize, which is developing infrastructure for tokenized stocks and ETFs. The Intercontinental Exchange has also announced plans for a digital trading platform.
Tokenized real-world assets have grown substantially. The tokenized RWA market reached $34 billion in size, according to RWA.xyz data, representing 420% growth since 2025. Orca’s automated market maker infrastructure has processed $500 billion in cumulative trading volume since launch.
Real-World Asset Expansion
Beyond equities, tokenized asset platforms are broadening their scope. Centrifuge, a tokenization platform focused on real-world assets, plans to bring tokenized Treasurys, private credit and AAA-rated collateralized loan obligation products to the Monad blockchain, which is being developed for tokenized assets.
The Streamex-Orca partnership demonstrates how secondary trading infrastructure for tokenized securities can operate with onchain compliance controls. By freezing wallets until verification completes and updating eligibility data in real time, the system maintains regulatory oversight while enabling continuous trading across time zones and geographies.
