Polygon Labs integrated TRON network support into its Open Money Stack platform on October 7, enabling businesses to move USDT between TRON and EVM networks through a single integration without requiring separate wallet, bridge, or fiat-ramp connections.

Open Money Stack targets remittance firms, fintechs, and payment providers. The service allows customers to fund payments via bank transfer, debit card, or cash, receive USDT in a TRON wallet, and cash out to bank accounts. Polygon launched the platform in January 2026 following its acquisitions of Coinme and Sequence.

“By connecting TRON to Open Money Stack, we’re giving businesses a way to offer that service through one integration,” said Sandeep Nailwal, Polygon co-founder.

TRON’s stablecoin dominance

TRON has emerged as one of the main networks for USDT transfers. The network processed $30 trillion in stablecoin transfer volume during Q2 2026, with 93% of that volume occurring peer-to-peer. USDT circulating on TRON totals $94 billion.

Justin Sun, TRON founder and leader, said: “Customers expect their assets to arrive where they want them regardless of the blockchain they use to transfer funds. Connecting TRON to Polygon’s infrastructure will help businesses serve users across different payment environments.”

Regulatory framework

Polygon’s fiat-ramp service operates under money-transmitter licenses covering 48 U.S. states. The integration does not eliminate licensing and regulatory obligations for payment firms using the platform. Businesses must maintain their own compliance infrastructure when offering stablecoin payments and cross-border transfers through Open Money Stack.
