Fold Holdings has launched a bitcoin rewards credit card issued by Visa and powered by Stripe Issuing, rolling out to waitlist members in batches starting this week.
The card offers up to 4% bitcoin back on purchases, with a 1.5% base rate and an additional 0.5% for paying the bill in bitcoin. Cardholders gain access to 175 million Visa merchants globally. Physical cards ship to active holders; new applicants receive physical cards upon approval. A virtual card is available immediately through the Fold App for Apple Pay and Google Pay.
“Launching the Fold Bitcoin Credit Card marks a pivotal milestone for Fold,” CEO Will Reeves said. “No gimmicks, complicated points systems or token rewards. Just a simple and transparent way to earn bitcoin on everyday spending.”
The card includes real-time reward tracking, lock/unlock controls, and fraud alerts. Cardholders can link their Fold Checking account or an external bank account for payments.
Fold Holdings (NASDAQ: FLD) is rolling out the card to select waitlist members over the coming weeks and months. The exact launch date for full issuance was not specified. Fold did not disclose the total number of waitlist members or the size of the initial batch.
The company did not publish pricing, annual fees, or credit requirements for the card.
