Elliptic, a blockchain analytics firm, launched Pulse, an AI product that converts cryptocurrency wallet addresses and transaction hashes into plain-language financial summaries for law enforcement officers in seconds. The tool requires no blockchain expertise to operate.
Officers input a wallet address or transaction hash and receive a summary within seconds. A single click forwards the full analysis, including reasoning and field notes, into Elliptic’s screening tools or an agency’s own workflow system.
“We built Pulse because we see crypto across every law enforcement agency now, not just specialized units,” said Jackson Hull, Chief Technology Officer at Elliptic. The tool addresses a gap: frontline law enforcement increasingly encounters cryptocurrency in investigations but often lacks the technical knowledge to analyze blockchain data independently.
Governance and Oversight
Elliptic published a governance framework this month for agentic AI systems. The framework emphasizes human oversight, model transparency, and the retention of final judgment by officers. The company designed the framework to ensure that AI recommendations remain subject to human review rather than autonomous decision-making.
Elliptic’s Track Record
Elliptic’s platform screens 99% of cryptocurrency trading volume at an investigator-grade level and covers 65 blockchains. The firm’s research has surfaced in major enforcement actions, including a Secret Service crypto freeze tied to a Telegram marketplace and a Department of Justice seizure of infrastructure linked to billions in laundering.
Funding and Backing
Elliptic raised $120 million earlier this year from backers including Nasdaq and Deutsche Bank. The funding supports the company’s expansion into law enforcement tools and continued platform development.
