French bitcoin treasury firm Capital B announced Monday it has acquired 376 BTC for €25.3 million ($29.4 million), marking its largest bitcoin purchase in a year, according to reporting by The Block.
The acquisition was funded by proceeds from recently completed capital raises, including a €28.7 million ($33.3 million) private placement. Adam Back, an investor and stakeholder in Capital B, contributed an additional €7.6 million ($8.8 million) to the round, lifting his stake to 17.64% on an ordinary basis.
Capital B’s total bitcoin holdings reached 3,521 BTC following the purchase. The firm has spent €309.4 million ($359.3 million) acquiring bitcoin across all purchases, translating to an average cost of €87,878 ($102,058) per coin.
The latest acquisition represents Capital B’s largest single purchase since September 2025, when the firm bought 551 BTC. Last month, Capital B acquired 6 BTC. On Monday, when the announcement was made, bitcoin traded at $79,500, having reached a local high of $81,700 on Thursday.
Capital B rebranded to its current name in July 2025 from The Blockchain Group. The firm focuses on bitcoin treasury strategy and has been expanding its product offerings. In June 2026, Capital B was exploring a bitcoin-backed credit product for the European market, modeled after similar products offered by Strategy and Strive.
