Solana Labs’ Leap launched a beta mobile app Thursday enabling users to trade tokenized stocks, ETFs, metals, currencies, and crypto on iPhone via Jupiter routing. The app is available in early access through Apple’s TestFlight, with Android coming soon.
Leap is built by the team behind Dialect, which Solana Labs acquired earlier this year. Dialect developed Solana Actions and Blinks, a protocol that turns blockchain transactions into shareable links, and the cashtags feature on X. Chris Osborn, Leap general manager and Dialect founder, highlighted the speed advantage of the underlying network: “The Solana blockchain now confirms a trade in about 150 milliseconds thanks to Alpenglow, so the network is now faster than ever.”
App Features and Fee Structure
Users enter dollar amounts and trades execute as onchain swaps. The app curates market-moving news and pins stories to price charts at the moment they broke. Leap charges no fees at launch but plans to use future fees to buy and burn SOL and fund a referral program. Founders Club members earn 30% of trading fees from invited users and 5% from referrals of invited users.
Leap is not available in the U.K. or other restricted regions. The app routes trades through Jupiter and draws market data from Birdeye. Infrastructure is provided by Helius.
Tokenized Assets on Solana
Tokenized stocks are gaining traction on Solana. Securitize has brought tokenized Nvidia, Apple, and Amazon shares to the network. However, tokenized stocks have faced pushback: 56 companies have objected to having their shares traded on OKX and ICE’s planned tokenized stock venue.
Anatoly Yakovenko, Solana Labs co-founder and CEO, said: “Every app that brings new people onchain makes the whole ecosystem stronger.”
