Bitcoin’s bull market has been confirmed, according to CryptoQuant onchain analytics, but traders face a critical resistance level at $90,300 where profit-taking could intensify.

CryptoQuant analysts stated in their weekly report that “the bull market is confirmed. Technicals, valuation and on-chain data now point the same way — up.” The confirmation follows Bitcoin’s price reclaiming its 365-day moving average at $80,500, a technical milestone historically associated with the end of bear markets in 2018 and 2022.

The resistance zone at $88,000 to $90,000 represents a convergence of two onchain factors. Bitcoin traders’ realized price, which measures the average acquisition cost of BTC that moved onchain between one and three months ago, sits at $64,300. The upper profit-taking band at $90,300 sits 40% above that realized price level.

CryptoQuant analysts explained the risk: “The upper band coincides with the $88K–$90K on-chain supply cluster, making it the next resistance to clear. Historically, as price approaches the upper band, trader profit margins stretch and selling can intensify — a natural pause point within an uptrend, not a reversal.”

Bitcoin was trading near $86,000 at the time of the analysis. Institutional inflows have supported the recent price action. US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded net inflows of $1.7 billion over the first two days of the week, including a single-day inflow of $999 million on Monday, the largest daily total since October 2025.

The bull market confirmation also rests on the MVRV ratio, which crossed above its 365-day moving average. During the 2026 bear market, the MVRV ratio never fell below its breakeven point of 1, meaning the broader investor base remained in aggregate profit throughout the downturn.

Ki Young Ju, CryptoQuant CEO, attributed the moderating price swings in future cycles to a structural shift in Bitcoin ownership. “Today, a much larger market and growing institutional ownership are dampening both extremes. The same forces that limit the upside also soften the downside,” Young Ju said.
