U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds drew $433 million of net inflows on Friday, Sept. 18, according to Farside Investors, rebounding sharply after a volatile week marked by Federal Reserve policy action.
Fidelity’s FBTC dominated Friday’s flows with $310.7 million in inflows, nearly 2.9 times larger than BlackRock’s IBIT, which posted $108.4 million on the same day. BITB, ARKB, and HODL also recorded positive flows Friday, though individual figures for those funds were not disclosed.
The Friday rebound marked a reversal from earlier in the week. Tuesday and Wednesday combined saw $746.3 million in withdrawals across the spot Bitcoin ETF complex. The withdrawals occurred around the Federal Reserve’s Sept. 16 rate decision, which raised the target rate by 25 basis points to 3.75% to 4.00%. However, the available data does not show the policy decision caused the outflows or the subsequent rebound.
Thursday began a two-day recovery. Combined inflows Thursday and Friday totaled $592.5 million, leaving a net gap of $153.8 million between the two-day rebound and the two-day withdrawal period.
Investor allocation patterns shifted across the week. Monday’s rebound was led by BlackRock, with Fidelity playing a secondary role. By Friday, the roles reversed decisively. Over the full five-session week, BlackRock’s IBIT accumulated $120.6 million in net inflows compared to Fidelity’s FBTC at $79.9 million, making BlackRock the larger net beneficiary despite Fidelity’s Friday dominance.
Monday itself saw $159.9 million in inflows across the spot Bitcoin ETF complex. For the entire five-session week, the spot Bitcoin ETF market recorded $6.1 million in net inflows.
