Cyber is shutting down CyberWallet and Cyber Passkey Wallet interfaces on Aug. 15, 2026, removing the supported user interface for accessing and transferring on-chain token balances. Users must move assets before the deadline or resort to direct smart-contract interaction, which Cyber says it will not support.

Tokens will remain on-chain after the interfaces close. The shutdown eliminates the standard pathway to access and transfer balances, but does not delete the underlying assets.

Asset Recovery Steps by Wallet Type

CyberWallet users should transfer standard supported tokens to the signer wallet associated with their account before Aug. 15. CyberWallet SmartGas deposits cannot be withdrawn through the normal flow; eligible users will receive Surf coupons instead.

Cyber Passkey Wallet users should transfer all assets to an external wallet and confirm balances are cleared. Passkey Wallet does not include SmartGas functionality.

Post-Deadline Access

Users who miss the Aug. 15 deadline will need to interact directly with smart contracts to recover assets. Cyber has stated it will not provide support for this recovery method.

Cyber has not published an exact shutdown time or time zone for Aug. 15. Both public wallet URLs still responded on Aug. 14, though reachability did not confirm that authenticated login, balance loading, or transfer functions were working for every user.

Reporting

CryptoSlate reporters Liam ‘Akiba’ Wright and Gino Matos first reported the shutdown notice displayed on the CyberWallet homepage on Aug. 14.
