Kraken has launched an API Partner Program offering lifetime revenue sharing to integrated trading platforms and brokers that route order flow through the exchange.
The program embeds exchange access directly into software that professional users already rely on, bypassing the need for traders to navigate Kraken’s interface separately. By integrating Kraken’s API into third-party platforms, the exchange aims to capture institutional and algorithmic order flow at scale.
Revenue sharing is tied to referred volume, creating direct financial incentive for partners to route trades through Kraken rather than competing venues. The model targets professional and algorithmic traders, not casual retail users. These participants prioritize execution quality, uptime, fees, depth, and seamless integration when selecting an exchange.
The program reflects Kraken’s broader effort to strengthen its institutional position. Rather than rely solely on direct user acquisition, the exchange is embedding itself into the trading infrastructure professionals already use daily. An API partnership model allows Kraken to reach traders without competing for consumer attention.
Kraken did not specify which trading platforms, brokers, or algorithmic trading desks are participating in the program or have been targeted for recruitment. The exchange also did not disclose revenue-sharing percentages, participation conditions, or technical API specifications and integration requirements.
The timing of the program launch was not announced.
