Hong Kong Platform Eyes Prediction Markets Growth in Asia-Pacific
TurboFlow, an onchain trading platform offering prediction markets and perpetual futures, closed a $6 million seed funding round led by Pantera Capital in March 2026. Susquehanna Crypto and Digital Currency Group also participated in the round, which was structured as a SAFE with token warrants.
The Hong Kong-based platform is positioning itself as the institutional-grade liquidity provider for Asian traders. Founder Tony He, a former co-founder and partner at Amber Group, framed the opportunity in regional terms: “We see a large unfilled gap between Asian users and proper institutional-grade liquidity, and we’re striving to become that bridge.”
Prediction markets have gained significant traction in Western markets through platforms like Kalshi and Polymarket, but remain underdeveloped across Asia-Pacific. TurboFlow’s beta has attracted more than 15,000 registered users and generated $19 billion in total trading volume to date. The platform allows market entry at a $2 minimum.
He declined to disclose the round’s valuation. The firm currently operates with 30+ employees, mostly based in Hong Kong, and plans to remain “relatively lean” as it scales.
Perpetual futures have historically dominated crypto user trading, but TurboFlow’s fastest-growing segment is prediction markets. “Perps have traditionally been the most popular product among crypto users, but our fastest-growing segment is coming entirely from prediction markets, which proves to us that offering a genuinely new trading experience is what matters most,” He said.
Regional regulatory frameworks for prediction markets vary significantly and continue to evolve. TurboFlow has not disclosed specific regulatory licenses or detailed timelines for compliance, though the company stated it is “proactively building toward a compliant, legitimate setup.”
The platform’s competitive strategy centers on liquidity, pricing, service quality, and what it calls “high-velocity event trading.” He emphasized the importance of local responsiveness: “People here are interested in different topics and assets to trade. It’s about staying close to users and being able to deliver the products they want, fast.”
The beta has been running for more than six months as of June 2026. TurboFlow did not specify which Asian markets it is prioritizing or announce a public launch date.
